Wildlife Crime Prevention

Wildlife Crime Prevention is an NGO that supports the Department of National Parks and Wildlife (DNPW) to reduce the illegal wildlife trade across Zambia and neighbouring countries throughout the region.

The illegal trafficking of poached game meat is at all time high. The disregard for our animals is shocking.

We decided the most impactful approach for this anti trafficking campaign would be guerrilla marketing. Seeing the animals in their life-size form would really drive home the weight of their loss.

We approached local artists to make the life-size statues of the animals and mounted them at the Airport were trafficking begins. These statues were installed with velvet ropes around them to signify their importance and this made for a great selfie spot!

To compliment this campaign, we came up with eye catching images and easy to read, bold captions for the OOH images. These were placed strategically along the airport road to really drive the anti-trafficking message home.

This campaign was a huge success and had everyone in Zambia talking about it!
