Yoyo Foods is a company who manufactures and distributes a variety of snack products in the Central and Southern African region, with their base in Zambia.
YoYo first approached Giraffe to launch their new product Hip Hop. The company wanted this launch to be different and stand out and so Giraffe brainstormed and developed a colorful concept to match the feel of the product and its packaging.
The film set was created by the our team and well-known artist Salma Sky featured in the advert, using her fan base and reach to further push the product into the market.
From then on Yoyo returned to Giraffe with the need to entirely transform their online presence that was considerably underdeveloped. Their social media pages at the time did not reflect the ‘fun’ in Yoyo fun Snacks, nor did they reflect the colors of the brand and its products.
Our team stepped in, and after analyzing the brand and its target audience, launched a social media campaign using newly designed templates, graphics and color schemes for both Facebook and Instagram while promoting YoYo and its wide range of products.
YoYo now has an online following of nearly 100,000 people in Zambia and consistently high engagement on each post.
Since then, Giraffe has also undertaken other product launch videos for the brand including Papa’s Corn Snacks that was a big hit in the local market.
The videos were successful and repurposed for radio, online and print purposes to widen the campaign reach.
